Chip away at those bad debts
Gladstone Plus2 9.3 upgraded with Chip & PIN
The solution, which provides a secure way to pay with credit or debit cards using integrated technologies in the same way as retail outlets, restaurants and many other businesses, is available immediately with Plus2 V9.3.
Since the successful introduction of Chip and PIN in the UK in February 2006, fraudsters have found it tougher to use stolen cards, as customers now have to enter their PIN to be sure they can pay, and thus reduce the use of a stolen card.
Commidea is the ideal partner for Gladstone plc, as they are the market leader in the development of credit card processing technology, providing a range of high performance systems and tailor-made solutions for almost every industry and market sector.
The Gladstone Plus2 integration really couldn't be easier - instead of a member being asked to provide their signature to verify payments, they can be asked to enter their four-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) known only to themselves; in the same way customers do at a cash machine or in a restaurant or store.
Giles Cooper, Head of Sales and Marketing, at Commidea, commented:
"We are delighted to have been chosen by Gladstone as their preferred partner within the UK Leisure market. Commidea has a very clear offering in payment processing products and services - in particular online credit card processing, bulk processing and membership payment and management, whether at the reception desk of a leisure centre or a private gym or sports club. We are looking forward to working with the established market leader in this space."
Peter Doyle, Head of Marketing for Gladstone Health & Leisure, added:
"Working with Commidea has allowed us to further develop and strengthen our market-leading Gladstone Plus2 core offering. Securing credit and debit card payments brings significant benefit to our clients, and we have been quick to add this advanced functionality to our online product, Gladstone Connect2™ and our self-service Gladstone Kiosk2™ solutions.
We have invested a considerable amount of resources over the last six months to deliver a product that will allow us to support our clients in offering their customers an enhanced experience, reducing reception desk queues, offering fast-track bookings and ticket-collection for those time-pressured individuals."
