Gladstone increases Plus2 appeal with new 9.4 version

Gladstone Health & Leisure, the market leader in leisure management solutions, has released the long-awaited new version of its Plus2 system. Version 9.4 features the innovative new Connect2 and Kiosk2 enhancements which can help leisure centres to reduce overheads, increase revenue and deliver unbeatable data management.

Among the unique applications featured in v9.4 are the new automatic pocket devices. These innovative mobile handheld PDA (personal digital assistant) units can be used to record critical data - for example children can log their attendance levels at off-site activities such as after school clubs. The handheld units are then docked remotely and valuable data uploaded onto a central server where it can be analysed and reported.

Version 9.4 also has the capability to collect direct debits from multiple sites in one run, eliminating the time taken to process individual contract runs. A new wireless Chip and PIN also enables multi-transactions to be made remotely, without having to return to the base station to download each payment. This is ideal for sites with cafes and restaurants.

Another innovative new feature in Plus2 is Connect2, an online service that enables members to update personal details, book classes and pay for subscriptions independently through a secure website. Connect2 also allows prospective members to join a club online without the need to make a personal visit to the club and complete paperwork.

Complementing Connect2 is Kiosk2, a self-service unit that can be positioned front-of-house to enable members to register attendance and collect tickets that they have already booked online using the secure website. This reduces the pressure on front-of-house staff, freeing up their time to handle more complex member issues.

"At Gladstone we speak to customers on a regular basis to ensure that our management solutions continue to meet the evolving needs of their sites," says Arthur Morris, Head of Business Development. "This valuable feedback has resulted in the development of Plus2's latest additions which we are confident will deliver a high level of membership support for all large multi-site operators."
