Former rugby league star converts to Gladstone
The Rec Club Seaspray became one of the latest clubs to implement Gladstone Health & Leisure's flagship product Plus2 when it opened its doors for business earlier this year. The Rec Club Seaspray is part of the Seaspray master plan residential community development at Cocoanut Point Drive, Zilzie on the Capricorn Coast, Queensland, Australia. When it becomes fully operational, Seaspray will include 250 apartments and 400 homes catering for a diverse range of lifestyle choices.
The club is managed by Justin Loomans, a former professional Rugby League player who has played for Salford in England and North Queensland and South Sydney in Australia. Justin chose Gladstone Plus2 after it was highly recommended by his consultant, Justin Tamsett of Active Management.
The site was installed by Ben Chamlet and trained by Paolo Coniglio utilising a 'system build', which involves Gladstone building the system. Paolo completed all the configuration of Gladstone Plus2 to The Rec Club Seaspray's specification so that they could go live seamlessly.
Since going live The Rec Club Seaspray team have all been pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to get started with Gladstone Plus2. "Using the system build meant we could concentrate on getting the club ready for opening day while the guys at Gladstone built our system," says Mr Loomans. "Once it was installed the staff just needed some training to cover reception and administration duties. The Gladstone helpdesk has also been fantastic with responding to any questions we have."
