Australian customer round-up

Gladstone Goes West

After a long period of negotiation Gladstone Health & Leisure has won its first Western Australia customer, the City of Nedlands Council. Our market leading Plus2 product replaced a major competitor system, and as a result we have opened up a number of opportunities for Gladstone within the Western Australian council market.

Since then the customer portfolio for this region has grown at a rapid pace with the addition of Surge Health & Fitness, the largest private health club in the state. We also won the tender to supply a system for the City of Melville Council.

Another tender win followed with the City of Waneroo Council and yet another council was added with the business of Victoria Park City Council. Our new customers can enjoy the benefits of a leisure management system which not only has the capabilities of online bookings and a member contact system, but also an energy management system. The energy module involves the lighting system being controlled by the booking sheet. Lights can be turned on or off depending on the bookings made, thus making considerable energy savings.

Active Health Club

Active Health club is a private health club in Ryde, New South Wales and is owned by Justin Tamsett, who has been in the industry since 1989. He has worked at all levels of Club operations and is highly regarded in the fitness industry. He is a former president of Fitness NSW and Vice-President of Fitness Australia.

Active Health Club replaced their existing system with Plus2 over 12 months ago and recently went live with our online administration tool, Connect. Connect allows Active members to make and pay for bookings online. They can also update their personal details ensuring the club always has the latest member information.

Justin commented "Everyone has access to the internet these days so Gladstone Health & Leisure's Connect module was a natural progression and our first choice of partner to implement. It has benefited both us and our members.''

Healthworks Fitness Centres

Healthworks implemented Plus2 at their flagship centre Healthworks on the River back in July 2006. Since then the Healthworks brand has grown to 11 clubs implementing Plus2 in all new sites. These cover the entire Brisbane area, including Cleveland, Deagon, Ipswich, Peninsula and South Brisbane.

Plus2 has helped co-director Andrew Wilkinson considerably improve the bookings processes and aid the growth of his business.

Andrew commented "The great thing about Plus2 is that it has allowed us to efficiently manage our debits and bookings, as well as create a cashless environment for members. Now when the members book personal training we can automatically collect the fees the following week through direct debit. Before we were always chasing bad debt or sessions not paid for, so the amount of money we've saved soon builds up.''
