Our Plus2 software can recognise a range of card types and styles - including barcode, magstripe and smart cards.

Our standard cards are credit card size and thickness (54x86mm and 760 microns). However, we can provide a range of styles, shapes and thickness of plastic card, so if you need something different, just ask! Our plastic cards can be printed via digital, thermal, litho or screen printing processes, depending on your artwork and the volume required. We will advise on the best solution once we have seen your design.

Barcode Cards

A simple barcode card is the most cost-effective way of associating a member with our system. Most customers choose to have a batch of generic cards pre-printed with their own artwork and a unique barcode number range. These cards are then assigned to a new member straight out the box, as soon as they join. Alternatively, you can choose to print the cards on site, using one of our card printing machines. This way, you can not only print the barcode, but also the member's name, photograph and subscription details.

Magstripe Cards

A magnetic strip is a more secure method of storing your card ID on the membership card. The data can be encoded on a number of different tracks and your readers configured to return the appropriate number. Again, the cards are usually pre-printed and encoded and held behind reception for immediate allocation to new members.

Please note that only certain barcode types and magtripe configurations will work with Plus2. Our Card Services team will be able to supply these at the most competitive prices around.

Delivery

Depending on the quantity and printing method used, plastic cards can take from 1 to 3 weeks to manufacture. So, please allow sufficient time when ordering.
